I think that you and Chelsea have hit on something.
Leaders who understand that leadership is an honor and behave accordingly and with humility.
Thank you,

I can identify with the water problem. When we first moved to our current yard our horses were "temporarily" in a corner of the hayfield and we had to barrow water up there. I bought and borrowed camping water containers which you can roll along. It was very successful except our temporary paddock lasted for six months. I was glad when we could finally move to a field with water on tap!

Hi Diedre,

Thank you for your kind comments. It's such a privilege to be doing this work. Yes - Special Horses for Special Children does the same as Rupert. Storm, the horse in the photo, knew exactly how best to use the platform to teach his students. It's always the same - I take time to prepare for each workshop and the horses know what to do in a heartbeat!

Wow, this is great, and wonderful pictures. You know, Rupert Isaacson trick trains the horses he uses with autistic participants. Does that program do the same? I have one horse, Cimma, who I trained to do a few tricks. I did it because she has had so much trauma and I wanted to give her work that didn't trigger her, that was a break from PTSD responses, and all the cues are so different from riding training that it was our solution. When in therapy and learning sessions, she has used the tricks as a way to create metaphors--or that was the effect of her actions, uncued. It really made me wonder...how did she know...?
What great work you are doing, you and Ann, and each of you in your own countries. Thank you for all you do!

Thanks Avril. She lost quite a lot of condition towards the end of winter - mainly fed up with being in for so long, I think. Now she's out again she starting to look really good again and certainly not her age.
